Kaiz Summer Ball
@ Elysium 15th Jul 2005
The Kaiz Boutique Summer Ball was an exciting night of urban supercool fashion and music held at the exclusive Elysium club at Café Royal. Guests were greeted with a delicious selection of Hpnotiq, Courvoisier and Brannvin vodka cocktails and a live performance by Prince of Soul – Paul Japlin, who serenaded the crowd with an old soul classic which the guests happily sang along to. The hip host for the evening was US Basketball player Cory Kintrell Mcgee and he did well in getting the crowd hyped up for the fun filled show.
The designer pieces showcased on the night were original and stylish to say the least, not to mention the colourful and innovative hair styling with some models parading tennis rackets weaved into their hair. In true Kaiz Boutique style, this must have been one of the most eclectic and electric fashion shows to hit
the capital this year.
This amazing event was filmed for a new SKY1 programme called “Whatever”. The aim of the programme to be broadcast in August was to report on all urban cool things and as Kaiz Boutique is one of the hottest and hippest fashion havens in London, the production team insisted on filming 3 special features for the show. You will see some of our designers at work, a personal stylist item, the all important planning and behind the scenes clips and the actual fashion show. Two of the SKY TV’s presenters even volunteered themselves to strut down the catwalk for “Batlow”, the boutiques truly urban to the bone designer. You can tune in and watch on SKY1, August the 29th and 31st at 10am.
Not only was this exciting show filmed for Sky but it was also recorded for broadcasting on www.solarradio.com (Sky digital channel 879) to its 9 million listeners. What’s hot and happening at Kaiz Boutique will be featured regularly on the John Dean show, Monday nights from 10pm
As usual we selected a charity so we could have fun and raise money in style. The chosen charity was Cancer Research UK. Our sponsors Loreal, Hpnotiq and Exclusive London kindly donated some fantastic prizes towards the charity raffle.
R&B sensation Kele Le Roc kicked off the after party with a selection of new tracks and old club classics, then joined guests to continue partying well into the early hours of the morning.
